The Faculty of Science and Agriculture Postgraduate Research Day theme “From Lab to Market: Integrating Science, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship in University Research” focuses on how university research in the sciences can serve as a catalyst for innovation and entrepreneurship. It will highlight best practices for equipping students with the skills needed to transform scientific discoveries into real-world applications, startups, and industry partnerships. Additionally, the theme will assist in fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, enhance research commercialization, and prepare students for success in both academic and business environments.
Two national and one international scholars will deliver keynote lectures aligned with the theme. Through these presentations, they will share their expertise in areas such as innovation, entrepreneurship, product development, discovery, commercialization, and other related fields. Additionally, plenary presentations will form part of the event.
